Installation & USDM Wiring Notes

• Plug-and-Play (With Modifications): While this cluster plugs directly into the 2002-2003 USDM WRX dash harnesses, there are key differences:

  • The "Brake Light" Fuse Mod: To avoid blowing the rear tail light fuse on USDM cars, the installer must cut or pin-out the clock spring grounding wire behind the cluster (refer to standard automotive club wiring guides).

  • Outside Temperature Display: The JDM cluster reads outside ambient temperature. If your vehicle is not equipped with the front bumper sensor, this display will remain blank or show a default reading.

• Odometer Metric Notice: This cluster records total distance traveled in Kilometers (km) rather than Miles (mi). Odometer conversion chips can be applied to the PCB by an instrument specialist if conversion to mph/miles is desired.

• Shift Buzzer Setup: The integrated shift light and alert buzzer can be manually programmed and fine-tuned directly using the trip odometer stalk on the face of the unit.
