Warranty
We offer 90 days warranty for engines & transmissions that are non-performance.
We offer 30 days warranty for performance engines (i.e., Turbocharged, Supercharged, VTEC, VVL, MIVEC, etc.).
All our engines are covered by a warranty against rod knock, cracked block, and internal failure. All internal engine parts, including pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft, and main bearings, connecting rods and rod bearings, camshaft and camshaft bearings, timing chain and timing gears, intake and exhaust valves, valve springs, seals, guides, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, and shafts, are covered. The engine block, cylinder walls, and cylinder head are also warranted to be free of cracks or distortion.
The warranty starts from the date you receive the item.
All rotary engines are not under warranty.
Engines and transmissions must be installed within the warranty period.
Repairs or exchanges will not extend this limited warranty.
Engine warranty will be void if it is overheated, improperly installed, modified, or abused.
Engine accessories and sensors (i.e., Alternator, Power Steering, Turbo, etc.) are not under warranty. They are left on as a courtesy to the customer. No warranty on seals, leaks, or sensors.
We also don’t give warranty on the external parts attached to the engines like intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetors, distributor, starter, emission control devices, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses, oil pan, valve cover, sensors, electronic parts (distributor, wires, computers, injectors, etc.), transmissions, drive shafts, engine mounts, half shafts, etc.
All parts are sold with the expectation that they will be installed by a licensed professional in a licensed repair facility that has all applicable city and/or state licenses, whichever is applicable, and that all procedures outlined by the vehicle manufacturer services or workshop manual are followed. Failure to do so will void any and all warranties.
JDM Seattle Washington Inc. reserves the right to exchange only if the part is defective or refund only if we do not have said item in stock.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges in case you change your mind or just didn’t like the product.
Engines that are timing belt-driven require a new timing belt to be installed at the time of installation and any timing belt tensioner or idler pulley, whichever applies to the vehicle. Failure to do so or improper installation will void the warranty.
Any engine that is returned and the valves have been touched or broken off against the pistons will be deemed as improper timing belt installation.
If any engine or transmission is found to be defective by our professional team, it must be returned to JDM Seattle Washington Inc. for exchange, and it must be in the same condition as picked up or dropped off.
JDM automatic transmissions must use manufacturer ATF fluids only. Any other fluids used (i.e., AutoZone, NAPA, or any other non-OEM ATF fluids) will void the warranty.
Transmissions are only warranted against slipping.
