Installation & Notes

USDM Swap: To ensure 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your vehicle's ECU and TCM, you must transfer your original USDM transmission wiring harness and any external sensors from your old unit to this JDM replacement.

TCM Relearn: After installation, a "CVT Learning" procedure is required using a professional diagnostic tool (such as Subaru Select Monitor or a high-end scan tool) to calibrate the new transmission to your vehicle's computer.

Fluid Requirement: Use only genuine Subaru CVTF-II (Green) fluid. Using standard automatic transmission fluid (ATF) or incorrect CVT fluid will cause immediate internal damage to the chain and pulleys.

Maintenance: It is highly recommended to replace the torque converter seal, axle seals, and the CVT oil cooler O-rings while the transmission is out of the vehicle to prevent future leaks.
