Installation & Technical Notes

The K20C4 is a high-tech Earth Dreams engine. To ensure a successful installation and protect your investment, please follow these technical guidelines:

  • Long Block Conversion: This sale includes the engine block and cylinder head (Long Block). You must transfer your original USDM turbocharger, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and wiring harness. This ensures 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your vehicle's ECU and sensors.

  • Fuel System: High-pressure direct injection is sensitive to debris. We recommend using your original USDM high-pressure fuel pump and injectors if they are in known-good condition to maintain correct fuel mapping.

  • Turbo Cooling: Before mounting your turbocharger to the replacement engine, flush all oil and coolant feed lines to prevent contamination of the turbo bearings.

  • Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following during the swap:

    • Spark Plugs: Use only high-heat range NGK Laser Iridium plugs (DILKAR8P8SY).

    • Engine Oil: 0W-20 Full Synthetic Oil (Genuine Honda/Acura preferred).

    • Coolant: Honda Type 2 Blue Long Life Coolant.

  • ECU Reset: After installation, a professional scan tool must be used to perform a "Crank Pattern Learn" (CKP) and clear all adaptation values. This allows the ECU to sync perfectly with the new engine’s rotating assembly.
