Installation & Technical Notes

The K20C4 is a high-tech Earth Dreams engine. To ensure a successful installation and protect your investment, please follow these technical guidelines:

• Long Block Conversion: This sale includes the engine block and cylinder head (Long Block). You must transfer your original USDM turbocharger, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and wiring harness. This ensures 100% plug-and-play compatibility with your vehicle's ECU and sensors.

• Fuel System: High-pressure direct injection is sensitive to debris. We recommend using your original USDM high-pressure fuel pump and injectors if they are in known-good condition to maintain correct fuel mapping.

• Turbo Cooling: Before mounting your turbocharger to the replacement engine, flush all oil and coolant feed lines to prevent contamination of the turbo bearings.

• Essential Maintenance: We strongly recommend replacing the following during the swap:

  • Spark Plugs: Use only high-heat range NGK Laser Iridium plugs (DILKAR8P8SY).

  • Engine Oil: 0W-20 Full Synthetic Oil (Genuine Honda/Acura preferred).

  • Coolant: Honda Type 2 Blue Long Life Coolant.

• ECU Reset: After installation, a professional scan tool must be used to perform a "Crank Pattern Learn" (CKP) and clear all adaptation values. This allows the ECU to sync perfectly with the new engine's rotating assembly.

1. Fitment Confirmation

Before placing your order, confirm your vehicle's year, make, model, trim, and engine code against the fitment list above. If you are unsure, provide your VIN — we will verify compatibility before sourcing begins. Orders placed without VIN verification are placed at the buyer's own risk.

2. When Sourcing Starts

Sourcing from our Japan supplier network begins within 1 business day of payment clearing. Once sourcing is initiated, the engine is reserved exclusively for your order and cannot be reassigned.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Before sourcing begins (within 1 business day of payment): Full cancellation and full refund available — contact us immediately.
• After sourcing begins: Cancellations are not accepted. Because the engine is procured specifically for your vehicle, we are unable to cancel, reroute, or resell the unit once the sourcing order is placed with our supplier.

4. Refund Conditions

• Defective / damaged on arrival (DOA): If the engine arrives with a verified mechanical defect or shipping damage, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and a description. We will arrange a replacement or issue a refund in accordance with our store refund policy.
• Installed units: No refunds are issued once the engine has been installed, started, or modified.
• Buyer's remorse / incorrect purchase: No refunds are issued after sourcing has begun. Please verify fitment before ordering.

5. Partial Refunds

A partial refund may be considered at our sole discretion in cases where a unit is returned unused and in its original condition, and only if a return is authorized in writing before shipment. Any approved partial refund will be net of actual supplier sourcing costs, international freight, and a restocking fee. Contact us to discuss before returning anything.
